A man was arrested after making threats towards a Senate staffer at a protest outside the office of Senator Jeff Flake, R-AZ. Flake was at the shooting in Alexandria, VA, where a man tried to massacre several Republican lawmakers.
Jason Samuels, Flake’s communications director, told Tucson News Now that one of the protesters threatened a Flake staffer by saying, “You know how liberals are going to solve the Republican problem? They are going to get better aim. That last guy tried, but he needed better aim. We will get better aim.”
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department in Arizona said the comments prompted staffers to call authorities and lock the office doors. Prichard and another protester, 70-year-old Patrick Diehl, were also charged with third-degree criminal trespassing.
