CV NEWS FEED // The Eucharistic Rosary Congresses have joined the National Eucharistic Revival with a Novena of Holy Hours and Rosaries that will take place July 8-16, 2024 for the “fruitfulness” of the Eucharistic Congress on July 17-21, and for the safety of all who plan to attend.
The Eucharistic Rosary Congresses began in Poland in May 1979 to coincide with Pope St. John Paul II’s historic visit to the former Communist country. They are now held in dozens of dioceses throughout the United States.
“We have this opportunity to change the world,” Eucharistic Rosary Congresses President Kristin Bird stated in an email press release announcing the Novena. “We all know that belief in the True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist is waning. THIS revival can change that course.”
The Novena, according to the release, is for those at the Congress as well as those who are unable to attend or who are not aware of the Eucharistic Revival.
“We want to reach all hearts,” stated Bird.
Organizers for the novena are seeking to cover all hours of the Novena through the participation of Eucharistic Adorers who will sign up to pray a rosary during their Holy Hours on the dates of the Novena at their respective church or chapel.
The link to sign up can be found here.
In a separate email to CatholicVote, the National Eucharistic Congress also stated that the dates for the Novena were chosen to appeal more fervently to Mary’s intercession for the success of the National Eucharistic Congress and to augment the rosary offered at the Congress.
As CatholicVote previously reported, over 200 parishes across the US will participate in the 2024 Eucharistic Rosary Congress, praying a rosary every hour for seven days in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
