CV NEWS FEED // The National Eucharistic Revival will host a live webinar March 25 teaching attendees how to evangelize their parishes.
Renewal will also be a central focus of the webinar, as attendees will learn how to live out the “Great Commission” even within their local faith communities, according to an email from the National Eucharistic Revival.
Tina Augustine, Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) ministries’ parish regional director, will host the seminar. She will share insights and ideas, helping her audience transform and evangelize their parish’s community.
FOCUS ministry’s goal is to aid college students in becoming disciples of Christ by evangelizing and inviting students into the Church. FOCUS trains and sends missionaries to college campuses to evangelize and to help students grow in their faith, especially by leading bible studies and social events to build community.
Augustine, who served as a missionary in multiple countries for over 10 years, now works for FOCUS at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Menlo Park, California.
In her story posted on FOCUS’ website, Augustine explained that becoming friends with several missionaries and a summer pilgrimage to Spain during her college years inspired her to take up the work she does now.
Augustine shared that God “put it on [her] heart to serve him as a missionary, to bring the Gospel to the furthest corners of the towns and cities and invite others into lifelong discipleship.”
Emphasizing the importance of joyfully living out God’s will, Augustine highlighted the words of one of her role models, Saint Teresa of Avila: “Lord save us from gloomy Saints.”
“May we come alive,” Augustine said, “living out our YES to Christ!”
