
CV NEWS FEED // On June 13, nearly 100 administrators from Catholic elementary schools and parishes in the Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio, gathered at St. Columbkille Parish to unveil a new marketing plan for Catholic elementary schools.
Despite the summer break and as part of the ongoing efforts of the strategic Keeping the Faith Plan, the intention behind the seminar was to empower Catholic schools with strategies to enhance enrollment and retention rates.
Director of Marketing for Catholic Schools Michael Suso introduced the school marketing plan and toolkit, explaining that the comprehensive strategy is designed to help Catholic elementary schools in northeast Ohio effectively articulate their unique value propositions and emphasize their commitment to “irresistibly Catholic and academically excellent education” in the region.
Joseph Waler, who has worked in Catholic school administration for 44 years, highlighted the essential role of school culture in effective marketing and branding, stressing the importance of creating a faith-based and educational community that appeals to prospective parents and students.
Dom and Cassidy Mann from DM Productions, a company that helps Catholic organizations promote their offerings, presented methods for boosting digital media presence and emphasized the powerful influence of video content.
The seminar concluded with a video production giveaway from DM Productions, valued at $5,000. St. Anthony of Padua School in Lorain emerged as the winner, fittingly announced on the feast day of St. Anthony of Padua.
