CV NEWS FEED // On August 22, the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia will welcome 18,348 students to its preschools, elementary, and high schools, marking a 4% enrollment increase at diocesan high schools and growth at 54% of all diocesan schools.
The Diocese highlighted elements of school programs that include a reinforced “No Cell Phone” policy, the expansion of St. Ambrose Catholic School’s dual language program, continued support for students with intellectual disabilities, and around $7 million in distributed aid.
Dr. Joseph E. Vorbach III, superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Arlington, praised the community’s dedication to strengthening Catholic education and encouraged families to explore enrollment options.
According to the superintendent, this year brings enthusiasm for new “curricular enhancements, teacher professional development, greater support for students with disabilities, and the provision of needs-based tuition assistance across our schools!”
This year’s theme, “Behold, I Make All Things New,” marks the Diocese’s Golden Jubilee.
Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of the Diocese of Arlington encourages students and parents to reflect on that verse as they embrace the new experiences of the academic year, including “new classes, new friends, and new opportunities.”
