Burch discussed the next steps in the pro-life movement, stating: “A country that’s not having children is dying. A country where people aren’t getting married and having children is not healthy. It is a slower but more fundamental strategy.” Burch emphasized the importance of changing the culture, which must change before a pro-life legislature can be fully backed.
The conversation then turned casual when Brian began to advise the young men in the audience. “Just because you ask a young woman out on a date doesn’t mean you want to marry her,” he said. “Ask women out on a date, take them out, treat them respectfully and get to know them; it would be good for culture to re-discover this idea of courtship.”
Discussing the upcoming month of the Sacred Heart, which progressives call“pride month,” Burch was optimistic:
Last year pride month didn’t go so well for a lot of big corps. Budweiser in particular and Budlight didn’t have such a good month. In fact it was a loss of tens of billions of dollars in sales as a result of their pride gimmick…
Burch went on to discuss CatholicVote’s Hide the Pride campaign and other efforts focused on pushing for large corporations to put their hyper-LGBTQ publicity “back in the closet.”
He continued:
I think we’re going to see a dialing back and I am confident we are already seeing it a little bit. It is certainly going to be blatant and in-your-face as it always is. But I think stepping up like we always do with Hide the Pride and like we did with the Dodgers, we send the signal that a lot of this country is not on board with this…They’ve pushed us in a way we are not willing to tolerate anymore.
