MEDIA BIAS // When ABC’s David Muir asked Trump if he could hear the protesters from the Women’s March from inside the White House, Trump said no. But he quickly turned the table, and asked the news anchor why they didn’t cover the March for Life: “You’re going to have a lot of people coming on Friday. And I will say this, and I didn’t realize this. But I was told. You will have a very large crowd of people. I don’t know as large or larger. Some people said it will be larger. Pro-life people and they say the press doesn’t cover them.” Get this: ABC scrubbed that clip from ABCNews.com. But you can watch it here: http://cvote.it/2koBEj2

RELIGION IN PUBLIC LIFE // Atheist forces town to remove cross from memorial; citizens respond by blanketing town with crosses. http://cvote.it/2k8phtV
MEDIA BIAS // White House senior adviser Steve Bannon isn’t just calling the Democrats the opposition, he’s calling the media “the opposition” as well. Which is obvious to every objective observer. But it still shocks the media. Read this New York Times article to see just how totally flummoxed the media is by this White House. http://cvote.it/2k8tw96
VATICAN // Callista Gingrich, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s wife, is being considered to be ambassador to the Vatican. (Newt joined the Catholic Church in 2009.) Also considered for the position is Catholic businessman and philanthropist William Simon. http://cvote.it/2k8rbe4
WORD OF THE DAY // Hyde Amendment – Often mistakenly considered a federal law, the pro-life provision is actually only an budget “rider” or instruction which prohibits taxpayer funding of abortions. Exceptions are granted for the life of the mother, and for rape and incest. As a budget rider, the Hyde Amendment needs a majority of Representatives every year to ensure the provision remains in effect. This week, the House voted to make the Hyde Amendment permanent by writing it into federal law. That legislation still requires Senate and White House approval.
