CV NEWS FEED // Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk, who frequently shares pro-life views and challenges pro-abortion arguments on college campuses, will be addressing the fifth annual National Pro-life Summit in January 2025.
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life Action (SFLAction), praised Kirk for his personal and organizational efforts to reach college students about pro-life issues.
“Thanks to the tireless work of Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA, college students and Americans across the country engaged on the human life issue of our day — abortion,” said Hawkins in a Dec. 23 press release.
Hawkins is also president of Students for Life of America (SFLA), an organization that will also be honoring Kirk with the Defender of Life Award. Kirk is receiving this award “not only because of his social media,” Hawkins said, “but also for his bravery in going on hostile college campuses and into political circles with a message of unapologetic support for mothers and their pre-born children.”
Hawkins emphasized that Kirk’s address at the Summit will be formative for pro-life young adults, who are also referred to by SFLA as “the Pro-life Generation.”
“The Pro-Life Generation – now part of one-third of the electorate – drives the narrative of the pro-life movement. Charlie Kirk represents a powerful voice for those who are passionate about saving those lives being lost to abortion,” Hawkins stated. “He stands boldly with SFLA and SFLAction in keeping the humanity of the preborn at the forefront of conservatives’ minds. Kirk’s remarks will be an inspiration for the Pro-Life Generation who are in this fight for years to come.”
At the Summit, SFLA will offer trainings to prepare those in the pro-life movement for further engagement in crucial spheres such as media, colleges, politics, and medicine.
SFLA and SFLAction are hosting the Washington, D.C.-based Summit along with legal organization Alliance Defending Freedom, ProLove Ministries, And Then There Were None, among others.
