As controversy stirs around the right of faith-based adoption and foster care facilities to operate without bowing to the LGBTQ movement and violating their consciences, CatholicVote Political Director Josh Mercer says we’re getting it all wrong.
This isn’t a question of whether Christians have the right to prevent LGBTQ couples from adopting–something they have a right to do under current law. It’s a question of whether Christian adoption and foster care services have a right to EXIST. The alternative, which LGBTQ activists are pushing for, is to outlaw and shut down hundreds of Christian institutions, some of which have cared for children for over a hundred years.
