CV NEWS FEED// A former Google executive and devout Catholic has obtained a settlement from the company after they allegedly fired him for not being “inclusive.”
Daily Caller reports that former executive Ryan Olohan’s lawyer confirmed that Olohan had been granted a settlement “in resolution of all claims,” though the lawyer could not comment any further due to confidentiality.
Olohan, who in his spare time runs an ice cream shop that employs people with special needs, was fired for being “ableist,” as he would favor high-performing employees and commented on “walking-pace and hustle” of employees at Google. He was the managing director of food, beverage, and restaurants.
While at Google, Olohan had won the “Founder’s Award” every year, and was rewarded for his own high performance.
Olohan alleged that his supervisor, Tiffany Miller, sexually harassed him, and that when he refused her, she accused him of “microaggressions.” Google’s Human Resources cleared him of charges of this, however.
Vice President of Google Consumer, Government, & Entertainment Adam Stewart also told Olohan that his team “obviously [had] too many white guys,” according to the lawsuit.
The Daily Caller called the settlement “a victory for conservatives in an industry rife with allegations of anti-white, anti-male and anti-conservative discrimination.”
