CV NEWS FEED // Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa has rebranded as Catholic Charities of Northwest California, reflecting its newly expanded outreach to serve more vulnerable communities.
The organization, which previously operated in Sonoma, Napa, and Lake counties, has doubled its service area by adding Humboldt, Del Norte, and Mendocino counties, according to a Feb. 11 announcement. The nonprofit will now provide its core services, which include homeless and housing solutions, legal immigration services, senior assistance, and health and wellness programs, in these newly added regions.
As part of its expansion, the organization has also welcomed two new team members to bolster its fundraising and outreach efforts. Julia Grunseth will serve as director of individual giving for the six-county region, and Kerri Beeker has been appointed as major gift officer for Napa County.
“Now more than ever, we need to take big steps to serve our most vulnerable communities,” CEO Jennielynn Holmes said in the release. “As we look ahead, this rebranding reaffirms our commitment to ensuring everyone in our service area — regardless of faith, background or circumstance — feels seen, supported, and valued.”
