Alex Mooney has represented the 2nd District of West Virginia sine 2015. Mooney’s mother, Lala, was a Cuban refugee who escaped from political imprisonment at the age of 21, shortly after the Bay of Pigs Invasion. Because of those experiences, Mooney has become a strong defender of religious liberty. Mooney is also a champion of coal workers, who are under attack every day from President Obama’s strident EPA regulations.
