MADISON, WI— The CatholicVote.org Candidate Fund proudly announced their endorsement of Lou Barletta for the United States Senate in Pennsylvania. The grassroots Catholic group has identified the Pennsylvania Senate race one of their top priorities in 2018. CatholicVote.org Candidate Fund President Brian Burch released the following statement:
“Pennsylvania voters are tired of the empty promises of sleepy Senator Casey. It’s time for fresh leadership in the United States Senate from someone willing to fight for Pennsylvania workers, families, and their values. That’s why Catholics across Pennsylvania should support the election of Lou Barletta for United States Senate.
“Catholics have been especially disappointed in the pathetic 12 years Bob Casey has spent in Washington D.C. Right on schedule, Casey is back talking about his so-called ‘Catholic’ faith during an election year. Meanwhile Casey voted against putting more money in workers’ paychecks, while supporting giving the billion-dollar abortion giant Planned Parenthood hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer funds. Finally, Casey continues to sit silently as extremists in his party encourage violence, obstruct real progress on energy, judges and health care. Even worse, his friends and allies shamelessly continue to tray and shut down the Little Sisters of the Poor.
“Thousands of Pennsylvania families already received a bonus because of the recently-passed tax reform bill, and their paychecks will grow even larger in the months ahead, thanks to legislation supported by Congressman Lou Barletta. Barletta is a champion of workers, families, and people of faith. Unlike Senator Casey, Lou Barletta is fearless, and will hold the establishment of both political parties accountable. Catholics across Pennsylvania deserve a Senator they can trust.”
