CV NEWS FEED // Two Catholic organizations this week announced an initiative for Catholics around the world to join in offering one million holy hours in Eucharistic Adoration for Pope Leo XIV.
According to a May 15 press release from Adoratio Foundation, which is partnering with Comunità Regina della Pace (Community of the Queen of Peace) for the initiative, Pope Leo XIV will be offered a spiritual bouquet of the adoration hours Aug. 15, the Feast of the Assumption.
“Leading the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics is such a tremendous responsibility,” said Andrew Niewald, President of Adoratio Foundation and Comunità Regina della Pace board member. “Offering prayers before the Blessed Sacrament for our new Holy Father is one of the most powerful ways we can support him as he begins his pontificate.”
The Community of the Queen of Peace is an international apostolate dedicated to praying for peace in Eucharistic adoration, their website states. Their website includes the pledge to offer holy hours for the Pope.
“Let us unite in support as he takes on the profound responsibility of leading the Church and guiding 1.4 billion Catholics across the globe,” the pledge states.
Adoration Foundation, according to the emailed press release, is a Catholic apostolate dedicated to fostering devotion to Christ in the Eucharist.
Niewald, the foundation’s president, added that the initiative to pray for the Pope would benefit the entire Church.
“Through this outpouring of prayer and devotion, we are confident that abundant grace will flow to Pope Leo XIV and to the entire Church,” Niewald said. “It is our prayer that this effort deepens the world’s love for Christ in the Eucharist.”
