
Look, it happens. Sometimes people don’t always get exactly what Pope Francis is saying. It even happens to bishops (especially German bishops, but let’s not go there).
Anyway, the latest prelate to accidentally miss the Pope’s meaning seems to be Bishop Paul Tighe, from Ireland:
“You must go out to the periphery!”“Periphery…you mean like the edge?”
“Yes Bishop Tighe…the edge.”
“Right, I think I got this.”
“Pope Francis says we should be friends. You wanna be friends?”
“Dude seriously?”
“Bishop Tighe, you must be good!”
“So when you say good…let’s see…in Latin that would be…you mean bono?”
