CV News Feed // One coffee company hopes to raise awareness and support the pro-life movement, one coffee bean bag at a time.
The company, Seven Weeks Coffee, donates 10% of all profits to pregnancy resource centers and has partnered with over 700 pro-life groups since its founding in 2021.
Since its founding, the company has raised over $300,000 for pro-life charities, which have helped to serve over 970,000 clients.
The group decided on its name based on the age of a developing child, which is the size of a coffee bean. They say that this name gives their company special significance and helps to establish it as a pro-life organization.
“Pregnancy care centers are the hands and feet of the pro-life movement. They are on the frontlines, helping women in need and defending life. It takes practical resources to meet families at their point of need, and we are privileged to help in a tangible way,” company founder and CEO Anton Krecic shared with the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Since its founding, the company has sought to continue following its mission statement and staying faithful to its pro-life values. The mission statement says, “To promote godly values, provide excellent coffee, and protect every beating heart.”
The company offers a wide range of coffee products, including a variety of organic, sustainably sourced blends.
Over the past two years, the company has grown rapidly as it gains more and more attention for its pro-life views. Krecic described the growth as the result of the company being a “grassroots movement”, and that people just want to support a good cause.
Krecic told the Christian Post that his motivation behind the company is to help financially support these pregnancy centers since they often struggle to raise money.
“We want to be advocates for pregnancy centers and convey the truth that they provide free medical care to women who are in real crisis,” Krecic said. “There are zero financial motives from a pregnancy center,” said Krecic.
