CV NEWS FEED // The campaign team for a pro-life Democrat ran multiple pro-life ads depicting the horror of abortion during prime-time television in Boston and New Hampshire.
The ads are sponsored by Terrisa Bukovinac, a self-proclaimed pro-life running in the presidential Democratic primaries, that will only appear on the ballot in New Hampshire. When she announced her campaign, she expressed hope that it would promote the pro-life movement in Democratic circles through running pro-life ads.
“I chose to run for president for the purpose of running these ads,” Terrisa Bukovinac told Fox News Digital.
Last night, the campaign aired the first ad during the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on NBC in the New Hampshire and Boston markets.
The 30-second ad showed the remains of five babies killed by abortion. Bukovinac captured the footage when she discovered the babies outside of a Washington, D.C., abortion clinic last year. The ad condemns the Biden administration and the Democratic Party’s abortion platform and its work to promote access to abortion across the United States.
“(We want to) disrupt the consciences of the American people, particularly leftists who are complicit in abortion by supporting pro-abortion candidates,” said Bukovinac in a press release.
Since the ads are part of a presidential campaign, networks are obligated to run them, as the FCC mandates that networks cannot discriminate against political ads as long as they are from a recognized candidate.
Bukovinac’s strategy has garnered controversy, yet she sees it as an important movement to show the prominence of pro-life Democrats.
“Pretending like millions of pro-life Democrats like myself don’t exist isn’t a winning strategy,” said Bukovinac. “The right to life must be protected at every age, everywhere, and that is why I am on the ballot as a presidential candidate–to be a voice for the innocent and oppressed and rekindle the debate inside the Democratic Party.”
