CV NEWS FEED // One of the most progressive counties in America is attempting to pass a resolution that would establish “sanctuary status” for so-called “transgender” and “nonbinary” people, as well as allow doctors to subject minors to sexual surgeries and treatments without informing parents.
Rick Rose, Board Supervisor of Dane County, Wisconsin, introduced a resolution that says access to sex-reassignment medications and gender-mutilating surgeries is a “fundamental right” for everyone, including children.
The resolution allows children to be exposed to sexually explicit materials and prohibits bans on drag shows. It also allows males who identify as “transgender” to compete in athletic sports with females.
Steve McConkey, president of 4 Winds Christian Athletics, opposes the resolution. Based in Madison, which is in Dane County, 4 Winds Christian Athletics is a global sports ministry that fights against “transgender” ideology in athletics.
“No government entity owns our kids, including federal, state, or local governments,” McConkey said:
The radical LGBTQ religion is out to destroy the family, resulting in weakening the United States. The nation is adrift and people need to stand up as never before. Only God can reverse the decline. Even if things do not change, we need to keep telling the truth.
Board supervisors in Dane County will vote on the resolution on Thursday. Twenty of the 37 supervisors have sponsored it.
