BUDGET DEAL REACHED  Lawmakers have reached a border deal that would include $1.375 billion for physical barriers. That’s much lower than the $5.7 billion requested by President Trump. Both sides claimed victory in the talks.  READ 
TRUMP HITS DEMS ON ABORTION  At a campaign rally in El Paso, Texas, President Trump attacked Democrats for embracing late-term abortions. “Allowing children to be ripped from their mother’s womb right up until the moment of birth. What’s that all about?”  READ 
DOUBTS ON BIDEN?  Democratic insiders cast deep doubt on the prospects of a presidential run by former Vice President Joe Biden. “This last election cycle, we’ve seen a whole new level of energy that has emerged through a lot of fresh faces, and the party has moved in that direction and wants to hear new ideas and different messages,” said Norm Sterzenbach, former head of the Iowa Democratic Party.  READ 
MN DEMOCRAT APOLOGIZES  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rebuked freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar for comments she made on Twitter that were anti-Semitic. “Congresswoman Omar’s use of anti-Semitic tropes and prejudicial accusations about Israel’s supporters is deeply offensive,” said Pelosi. Omar apologized on Twitter.  READ
