Saint Katharine Drexel, Virgin

St. Katharine Drexel, who generously spent your inheritance to found schools for the underprivileged in America, help us remember the poor, the unborn, and the most vulnerable when we cast our votes in this election. May God grant us the grace to vote with a well-formed conscience and promote the common good. Amen.

Saint Damien de Veuster, Priest

St. Damien of Molokai, who God endowed with a heart zealous for the salvation of souls, please help us imitate your selfless charity and serve the sick and imprisoned in our communities. May God heal our nation of the leprosy of sin and grant us the grace to protect the dignity of every human person. Amen.

Saint Marianne Cope, Virgin

St. Marianne Cope, who spoke out against tyranny, please help us work for government accountability and advocate for justice for all members of society, from conception to natural death. May God grant us the grace to make our society more just by electing lawmakers who enact laws that serve the common good. Amen.

Saint Junipero Serra, Priest

St. Juniperro Serra, who courageously brought the Catholic faith to the missionary territory of California, please help us be unafraid to evangelize our country. May God grant that politicians respect religious freedom. Amen.

St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, who served immigrants and orphans across the country, please help us build up our society through promoting goodness and justice. May God grant us the grace to show true compassion for immigrants and work for prudent border policies.

Saints John de Brébeuf and Isaac Jogues, Priests, and Companions, Martyrs

Oh Holy North American Martyrs, who spread the faith to indigenous peoples and witnessed to the love of Christ through martyrdom, please help us be unafraid to bring our faith to hostile communities. May God grant us courage and strength, especially to our bishops and priests.

Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, Virgin

St. Kateri Tekakwitha, who God endowed with a pure heart and steadfast faith in the face of ridicule, please help us practice piety and true love of our nation in our daily life. May God grant us the grace to grow in patriotism and gratitude for our many blessings.


US Saints Novena Day 9
Blessed Miguel Agustin Pro, Priest and Martyr

Blessed Miguel Pro, who was martyred at the hands of an anti-Catholic government, please help us forgive our persecutors as you did and proclaim without fear, “Viva, Cristo Rey!” May God grant us the grace to overcome indifference and engage in political action to sanctify our local, state, and national governments.
