PRO-LIFE LAW OVERTURNED A federal judge struck down Mississippi’s ban on abortion at 15 weeks. “If overturning Roe is the State’s desired result, the State will have to seek that relief from a higher court,” U.S. District Judge Carlton Wayne Reeves wrote. JUDGE STOPS TRUMP ORDER A federal judge has halted President Trump’s order denying asylum for all foreign nationals who entered the country illegally. “Whatever the scope of the president’s authority, he may not rewrite the immigration laws to impose a condition that Congress has expressly forbidden,” said U.S. District Court Jon Tigar, who was appointed to the federal bench by President Obama in 2012. 2020 San Francisco billionaire Tom Steyer has unveiled a platform and a six-figure ad buy in what looks like the beginnings of a 2020 presidential bid. KASICH VS OHIO GOP Gov. John Kasich, R-OH, has just a few weeks left as Governor of Ohio. But he’s clashing with the Republican-led Legislature, threatening to veto a heartbeat bill which would ban abortions as soon as a heartbeat is detected.
