SENATE 2018  Sen. Thad Cochran, R-MS, will resign April 1, because of health concerns. Gov. Phil Bryant, R-MS, will appoint a temporary replacement until a November special election to serve out of the rest of the term that ends in January 2021. INDECENCY  The Rhode Island Legislature is considering a $20 fee for accessing online pornography. The proposal is drafted by two Democrats who want the fees collected to combat human trafficking. http://cvote.it/2tl5UDS  

CULTURE  A gay man who runs a Nashville management group said his clients would no longer support the Country Music Association for having former Gov. Mike Huckabee as a board member. Huckabee resigned, but not before calling out the bullying tactics of those who claim ‘tolerance.’ http://cvote.it/2tjde2L

ABUSE LAWSUITS  St. Cloud is the fourth diocese in Minnesota to declare bankruptcy since a 2013 law which lifted the statute of limitations for child abuse allegations until May 2016. There are only six Catholic dioceses in Minnesota. http://cvote.it/2tnCncS 

SAINT OF THE DAY  Saint Mary Ann of Jesus of Paredes was a Secular Franciscan who lived a life of quiet prayer and penance. She established a clinic where she helped to nurse plague patients, but seems to have succumbed to the disease herself.  http://cvote.it/dailysaint
