CatholicVote.org exposes political contributions on new PlannedProfithood.org site
CHICAGO — The House Judiciary Committee today opened investigative hearings on Planned Parenthood, but many Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have a conflict of interest, says Brian Burch, President of CatholicVote.org.
According to FEC records, 10 Democratic Members of the Committee have received contributions from Planned Parenthood’s campaign fund:
Rep. Suzan DelBene (D, WA): $19,232
Rep. Scott Peters (D, CA): $14,700
Rep. David Cicilline (D, RI): $6,000
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D, NY): $4,000
Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D, CA): $2,000
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D, TX): $4,000
Rep. Steve Cohen (D, TN): $1,999
Rep. Judy Chu (D, CA): $1,000
Rep. Luis V Gutierrez (D, IL): $2,500
Rep. Karen Bass (D, CA): $1,500
CatholicVote.org announced a new site called PlannedProfithood.org to expose the link between the nation’s largest abortion provider and the politicians who provide them with political support.
“Our goal is to expose, shame, and ultimately end the charade of politicians who argue that Planned Parenthood provides critical ‘care’ for women and children. The truth is, while they are defending the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood is stuffing their pockets with cash.
“During the recent Senate debate on federal funding of Planned Parenthood, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, dismissed the Planned Parenthood scandal by claiming the videos are ‘highly edited.’ But do voters in New Hampshire know that her Senate campaign profited $19,448.00 from her association with Planned Parenthood’s campaign fund. Is it really any wonder how she would vote?” asked Burch.
