Dear Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley:
No one should be punished for believing that marriage is between a man and a woman.
The federal government shouldn’t fine or penalize someone because of their views on natural marriage.
We need Congress to pass the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) to prevent the federal government from discriminating against individuals, groups, and small business owners who believe marriage is between a man and a woman.
The FADA would ensure:
The federal government shouldn’t be used to punish people who believe in something that President Barack Obama claimed to support just three short years ago.
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s reckless decision, the time is now for the Senate Judiciary Committee to hold hearings on the First Amendment Defense Act which would provide legal protection to all Americans who believe in marriage!
