Job Opening: Creative Strategy Lead
YOUR ROLE: As the Creative Strategy Lead, you will cultivate a culture of creativity and fresh ideas across CatholicVote’s dynamic teams. You will help CatholicVote reach new and current audiences with relevant content and increase audience engagement with compelling written and digital content. This role will be integral to all CatholicVote programs and initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Cultivate, develop, and propose topics, strategies, scripts, videos, speakers, presenters that relate to CatholicVote programs
- Select topics and speakers for educational and advocacy videos, news stories, and podcast episodes that will engage s large audiences as part of multiple CatholicVote initiatives, including:
- LOOP (daily email newsletter)
- EDIFY (animated educational videos)
- Political (advocacy)
- Social media
- Print/digital publications
- Legal advocacy
- Lead creative brainstorming sessions around specific topics
- Research options for potential topics, imagine new creative angles for covering popular topics
- Collaborate with internal and external groups as necessary to get input and feedback
- Develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts
- Research experts, presenters, and guests for CatholicVote media programs to ensure the selection of dynamic and qualified guests who will help us reach a larger audience
- Solicit Op-ed content
- Write excellent scripts that:
- engage the audience from start to finish
- translate well into animated videos
- edify our audience through the ideas they present
- imitate the tone and style of the speaker
WHAT YOU NEED:
In addition to the above the ideal candidate will have the following:
- Passion for the mission of CatholicVote
- Demonstrated strong writing skills
- Strong inclination towards creativity and thinking outside the box
- Experience working in at least one of the following: audio/video production, publishing, marketing, journalism, or creative strategy agency
- In-depth comprehension of audience engagement and a keen awareness of marketing dynamics
- Ability to predict and anticipate issues of importance or relevance to CatholicVote weeks or months in advance
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
- Familiarity with and an ability to converse in the public policy debates occurring within the Catholic church and American politics
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
PHYSICAL JOB CONDITIONS:
- Work may be performed seated for long periods of time with close PC and keyboard work.
- Normal office environment and noise levels. Average lift less than 10 lbs.
LOCATION:
This position is based out of our Carmel, IN office, but remote applicants will be considered.
